Fort Lauderdale, Florida – Two male transgender adults have been accused of the brutal kidnapping and rape of an underage boy.
According to the 14-year-old victim, Javoris Phillips and another man sexually propositioned him from a gray car as he was walking to a friend’s house at 7:20 AM on August 6, 2017. Although the two suspects were wearing curly wigs, makeup and women’s clothing when they solicited the adolescent boy, the boy sensed that the duo were men.
Frightened, the boy attempted to flee. The suspects chased and caught the teen. Mr. Phillips punched the boy in the head, bound his wrists together and dragged him into an alley behind an abandoned house, the police report notes.
In the alley, Mr. Phillips allegedly held a gun to the boy’s head and threatened to kill him if he continued screaming. Mr. Phillips performed oral sex on the child, the victim later reported. The other suspect, armed with a knife, observed the sex act, the victim told police.
The boy screamed for help and fought his attackers. The two assailants ran, and escaped the area by car.
A tipster pointed police to the identity of one of the suspects, Javoris Phillips. The tipster said he recognized the suspect’s modus operandi, as he and other local boys had also been sexually propositioned by Mr. Phillips. The tipster “stated that it is the male’s M.O. to proposition young boys in the manner of that of the victim child,” the police report states.
Law enforcement tested the rape kit against Mr. Phillips’s DNA, which was already on file due to Mr. Phillips’s previous arrests. The rape kit came back positive for Mr. Phillip’s DNA.
Police arrested Mr. Phillips for kidnapping and lewd and lascivious battery based on the DNA evidence, the identification of the tipster, and the fact that Mr. Phillips owned a gray 2013 Hyundai that matched the victim’s description of the getaway car.
Mr. Phillips, a 36-year-old who identifies as a woman and goes by the feminine name Aceiyana, has a lengthy criminal record that includes prostitution, battery on a law enforcement officer, weapons charges, loitering and prowling, and car jacking. Mr. Phillips was held without bond in the Broward County Jail.
