Wappinger, New York, US – The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office issued an alert to the public that a man convicted of rape and a criminal sex act against a 13-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl has moved into a neighborhood that is surrounded by six schools.
The man, 33-year-old Stephen A. Ricciardi, is described in a public advisory issued by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office as “a Caucasian transgender female with long light brown hair, 5’9” and 170 pounds.”
Mr Ricciardi, who uses aliases Stephanie Ricciardi and Steph Ricciardi, was sentenced to just two to six years in prison after sexually assaulting two adolescent children who were known to him.
He is classified as a Level-3 sex offender, which indicates that Mr Ricciardi is at highest risk of repeat offense and is a threat to public safety.
Mr Ricciardi resides at Scott Drive in the Town of Wappinger, which is within a three mile radius of the schools Roy C. Ketcham High, Van Wyck Junior High, Brinckerhoff Elementary, Fishkill Plains Elementary, Myers Corners Elementary and Wappingers Junior High, and a one-mile radius from Rockingham Park and Brettview Acres Park, which are frequented by school-age children.
